On his family’s farm in Cleveland County, Jamie Swofford – a.k.a. The Chef's Farmer – grows heirloom produce and boutique ingredients for chefs in the Piedmont and foothills of North Carolina. Before he became a farmer, Jamie spent nearly two decades as a chef throughout the Southeast and abroad. Equipped with a wealth of experience, a deep culinary understanding and a desire to preserve traditions rooted in Appalachian culture, he continues to explore food in all of its facets – from the field to special events and his own line of artisanal products under the name Old North.
