Bruce Moffett

Barrington's, Good Food on Montford, & Stagioni | Charlotte, NC

Bruce’s culinary journey began in Barrington, Rhode Island, when he began cooking at a young age using his grandmother’s recipes. Later, he would name his first restaurant after the hometown where it all began. Bruce briefly worked in the political circuit in D.C. Once he realized his true passion was food, he went to The Culinary Institute of America, graduating with honors before gaining restaurant experience in Atlanta and Boston, where he worked in the L’Espalier and Metropolis Café kitchens. In 2000, Bruce moved to N.C. to be closer to his family and opened Barrington’s. He was named a semi-finalist for the James Beard’s Best Chef: Southeast award in 2009. That same year, he opened his second restaurant, Good Food on Montford. In 2013, Bruce expanded his culinary reign in Charlotte by opening Stagioni, a rustic Italian restaurant in an historic Tuscan-style villa.
