The Chefs’ Harvest Potluck will take place on Thursday, November 1, from 7 – 9 pm, at the Town Commons in Carrboro. Tickets purchased before October 15 are $55 and the dinner will feature dishes from 20 top chefs in the Triangle.
The list includes Andrea Reusing from Lantern, Sara Foster from Foster’s Market, Bill Smith from Crooks Corner, Sean Fowler from Mandolin, Adam Rose from Il Palio, Kevin Callaghan from Acme Food & Beverage Company, Seth Kingsbury from Pazzo, Vimala Rajendran from Vimala’s Curryblossom Café, Aaron Vandemark from Pancuito, Bret Jennings from Elaine’s, Jim Nixon from Panzanella, Marshall Smith at Glasshalfull, Sam Suchoff from The Pig, Drew Moore from Venable, Hich ElBetri from Sandwhich, Jeff Barney from The Eddy & Saxapahaw General Store, Matt & Sheila Neal from Neal’s Deli, Jimmy Reale from Chapel Hill Country Club and Sheri Castle, author of The New Southern Garden Cookbook. All the featured chefs use Carrboro Farmers’ Market as a consistent resource for ingredients and 100 percent of the money raised through ticket sales will go to the Market for physical improvements to its current location.
"We are excited to partner with TerraVITA and raise money to improve the Markets’ physical grounds to better serve our farmers and our community,” said Sarah Blacklin, market manager for the Carrboro Farmers’ Market. "We also are looking forward to hosting this great experience for our farmers and community to celebrate local food together. It will showcase the talent of chefs right here in the Triangle and lay the groundwork for future fundraising efforts."
